Deanna Schexnider Myers

Deanna Myers, age 80, passed away Monday, July 14, 2025, at her home. Deanna was born in Crowley, Louisianna to the late Alfred and Zula Mae Schexnider. She comes from a big family and was 1 of 9 siblings.

She loved nothing more than her family, especially her grandchildren, and moved to the Statesboro area in 1996 so she could be closer to them.

Deanna is preceded in death by her husband, Robert James Myers and her parents, Alfred and Zula Mae Schexnider.

She is survived by her sons, David (Elizebeth) Myers and Mark (Teresa) Myers, all of Statesboro; grandchildren, Danielle Myers, Manisha Myers, and Jacoby Myers; a great-grandchild, Lydia Youmans; sister, Phillis Walsh of Crowley, LA; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 11:00AM-12:00PM at Deal Funeral Directors.
