Linda Jewell (Deal) Crosby

Linda Jewell Deal Crosby, born February 9, 1943, in Garfield, GA, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2023, in Statesboro, GA at Southern Manor under the care of Regency Southern Care. She was the daughter of the late James V. Deal and Lottie Mae Hart. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lavon Crosby; her sisters Carolyn Stewart and Helen Barber.

Linda is survived by her children Jack Williams of Alpharetta, GA, Tony and Annette Crosby of Statesboro, GA, and Andy and Stephani Crosby of Bluffton, SC; her brother , Calvin (Mary Ann) Deal. She was also the proud grandmother of Ashley Thompson (Clay), Allison Roberts, Amber Mock (Nick), Alyson Smith (Andrew), Carson Crosby (Abbie), Cayla Wilburn (Casey) Grace Williams and Corbin Crosby. Linda was blessed with ten great-grandchildren, Payton Thompson, Avery Thompson, Nathan Mock, Tanna Mock, Kynzee Churchwell, Ava Smith, Raylan Thompson, Dawson Mock, Addi Smith, and Nora Wilburn; numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda was a dedicated Christian and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She enjoyed church, sewing, gardening, fishing, and camping. She was a hardworking woman who started at Cooper Wiss Tools as a laborer in 1978 and retired as a Quality Control Supervisor in 2000. She then worked as a secretary for Property Mart from 2000 - 2006. Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a devoted and loyal friend to many. She was also obsessed with Conway Twitty much to the sensitive ears of her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

The Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 9th, 2023, at Deal Funeral Directors 22757 US 80, Statesboro, GA. Viewing will be at 1:00 p.m., service at 2:00 p.m. with Elder Jake Futch officiating  and Burial will follow at Friendship Baptist Church .

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice in memory of Linda Deal Crosby.
