Nancy Durden Howell, age 70, passed away Friday at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Statesboro and attended Statesboro High School. Nancy was a member of Upper Black Creek Primitive Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking and fishing. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her beloved dog, Cinnamon.
Survivors include her husband, David Howell of Statesboro; two daughters, Leslie McKinney and Consuela McKinney, both of Stilson; three grandchildren, Kearstan McKinney of Stilson, Baylee Barnard of Statesboro, and Blake Barnard of Stilson; her sister, Darlene Durden Lastinger of Portal; her brother, John Durden of Portal; her sister-in-law, Glenda Durden of Statesboro; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Chris and Kim Howell of Statesboro; her niece and nephew, Wynn and Will Howell of Statesboro numerous other nieces and nephews; and her caregiver, Stephanie Lewis of Statesboro.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Deal Funeral Directors.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Deal Funeral Directors.
Pallbearers will be Colby Deal, Mike Deal, Damion Donaldson, Ken Durden, Richard Lastinger, and Brandon McElveen.
Burial will follow in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
