Sylvia Aldrich Hill 1935 – 2025

Born and raised in Bulloch County, Sylvia Hill lived a life rooted in love, faith, and family. At 90, she leaves behind a cherished legacy of hard work, kindness, and devotion. Married to the love of her life in 1952, Sylvia and her husband built a life centered on farming, faith, and family. Together, they cultivated not only crops but a home filled with warmth and enduring values. A woman of quiet strength and many talents, Sylvia found joy in painting, crocheting, and tending her garden. Her home was a sanctuary where Sunday dinners brought the family together, and her kitchen was always filled with the aroma of love and home-cooked meals. A devoted member of Middle Ground Primitive Baptist Church, Sylvia was the heart of her family, instilling values of humility, kindness, and hard work. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Roscoe Hill; daughter, Linda Hill Robinson; parents, Monroe and R. E. Aldrich; and her siblings, Margaret Elizabeth Quarles, Jerry Aldrich, Aubrey Aldrich, Talmadge Aldrich, Gloria Aldrich Crosby.

She is survived by her son, Larry Hill; son-in-law, Tim Robinson; grandson, Christopher Robinson (Kelsey); great grandson, Weston Robinson; and her siblings, Joyce Aldrich (Ray) Saxon, Harrold Aldrich, and Debra Aldrich (Herman) Harville; and numerous nieces and newphews. 

Her spirit lives on in every flower that blooms, every recipe shared, and every memory cherished. Sylvia’s life was one of grace, purpose, and great love.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Deal Funeral Directors.

The funeral service will follow in the Chapel of Deal Funerals at 11:00 am with Elder Buck Grantham and Elder Mike Newman officiating.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Dylan Cook, Jesse Bragg, Blaine Paul, Arnold Donaldson, Herman Harville and Grady Cook.

Burial will follow in the Middleground Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
