Terri Lynn Forrester

Terri Lynn Pigott Forrester, age 68, passed away at 6:41PM on Friday, September 12, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones at East Georgia Regional Medical Center.

Terri was a homemaker and a member of Corinth Christian Church near Girard, GA where her husband is the pastor. She met her husband, Rev. Dr. John Forrester in 1982 while she was a student at New Orleans Baptist Seminary. She grew up in McComb, Mississippi. She was the daughter of the late Robert T. Pigott, Sr. and Dorothy Jean Hughey Pigott.

She and her husband have been together 43 years, all that time serving in various ministry positions, including serving as missionaries for 8 years to the Eskimos in the Arctic of Alaska. She loved teaching children in church to love Jesus, she loved all the churches her husband served in from Georgia, Mississippi, Montana, and Alaska. Terri and her husband, John, have one son, John Mark, who lives at home.

Terri’s greatest joy was knowing that you loved Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. If you are not following Jesus, today is the best day to do that.

Terri is survived by her husband, John T. Forrester and her son, John M. Forrester.

Terri will have two Celebration of Life services, one in Columbus, GA and another in Statesboro, Ga. 

In Columbus, GA - Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 10:00AM in the sanctuary of Britt David Baptist Church located at 2801 W Britt David Rd, Columbus, Ga 31909. Terri’s Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00AM.

In Statesboro, GA - Visitation will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 10:00AM in the sanctuary at First Baptist Church Statesboro. Terri’s Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00AM.
