Gerald Conger Norris

Brooklet, GA.

Rev. Gerald Conger Norris, age 83, passed away early Saturday morning at East Georgia Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was a native of Shavertown, NY where he lived for many years before moving to Brooklet in 2020. Rev. Norris served as a Methodist minister for 20 years serving numerous churches in New York. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Norris, his grandson, Jeremiah Conger Norris, and his daughter, Darla Eckert. He was a man of God and spent many hours reflecting and reading his Bible.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Pinto Norris of Brooklet; his sons, Gerald A. (Pam) Norris of Schenectady NY, Cory (Brianne) Ackerly of Brooklet, and Mark (Nicole) Ackerly of Vermont; ten grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 28, 2021 from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at Deal Funeral Directors.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Deal Funeral Directors with Rev. Larry Bird officiating.

Burial will follow in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
