Raymond J Tobias

Raymond Tobias, 83, passed away at his home on Friday, September 18, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Geraldine Tobias. Born in Branchdale, Pennsylvania and having lived many years in West Palm Beach, Florida, he relocated to Georgia in 2004.

Raymond enjoyed walking his dog, Sadie, whom he loved very much, playing checkers, cards and chess. His stories were always fun to listen to and the riddles were endless. From playing cowboys and Indians, to riding bikes, to being Captain Peppy, he has left behind some great family memories.

He was a loving Father to George Tobias (Linda), Sharon Frost (Bill) and Lenore LaBree (Randy).

He was also a proud Grandfather to Eddie Freber (Katie), Kristin Howard (Steven), Jonathan Freber, Eric McClelland, Rachel McClelland, Nikki Bower (Sean), Meghan Tobias, Adam LaBree, Matthew LaBree and his two nonbiological  grandchildren, that he made part of our family Jacob Parker and Katelinn Parker.

Mr.  Tobias was also the loving Great Grandfather of Jaylen, Kyleigh, Aubrey, Shane, CJ and Ruthie and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He will be missed by all who knew him as he was incredibly supportive, loving, caring, and devoted to each and every one of his family and friends.  His love for children captivated the attention of anyone that was around him and all understood that children held a special place in his heart.

A Celebration of Life Service will be streamed from the Wallkill Reformed Church Facebook page on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 5:00 PM.
