Wendy Clifton Moore

October 5, 1952 — January 1, 2021

Wendy Carol Moore, age 68, passed quietly away at her home on New Year’s Day under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. After a battle with cancer, the New Year brought Wendy what she longed for, a new life with her Lord and reuniting with her husband of 36 years, Clement David Moore.

Wendy was born to Cunnesby and Mary Elizabeth Brigdon Clifton on October 5, 1952 in Savannah, Georgia. For most of her life she was a homemaker and nothing pleased her more than making her family and other loved ones feel welcomed in her home.  In her spare time she became an avid crafter.  She enjoyed piecing puzzles together, keeping her mind active. But, she also loved the outdoors, especially Tybee Beach and walking the pier or sitting quietly watching the birds. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church.

Wendy is preceded in death by her husband.

She is survived by, loved, and will be greatly missed by her daughters, Jennifer Tyler (Will) and Candace Hindman (Scott); her grandchildren, Chelsea Menning (Barrett), Eva Hindman, and Josh Williams; her great-grandson, Damien Menning and two sisters, Patricia Schultz and Betty Seabolt.

A celebration of life is planned for Sunday, January 3, 2021 at 3:30 PM in the Chapel of Deal Funeral Directors with Pastor Alan McCoy officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service,  beginning at 2:30 PM.
